Description
Abstract, using a strange form created in Shape Magic 2, a nice free tool for creating various shapes (http://www.shapemagic.com/). You can edit the resulting shape (obj) in Bryce (it has various parts). I rotated several parts and gave them various textures. Put them in a fully reflective circle and used an HDRI for IBL, sunlight as well, but both without shadows. Added a spherical fill light to add a little bit more light (at low settings). Rendered in Bryce 7 Pro with regular aliassing and maximum ray depth at 6.
Hope you like it!

The shape at right looks very detailed. Great work.

Thanks (all). The shape is indeed quite detailed. Shape magic makes shapes of which the parts (bottom, middle and top) each consist of more than one part that can be edited in Bryce, to make an even more complicated shape. I just played with it and easily got this nice result.
