I took this one of a maple entwined with a willow in Jacksonville a couple of days ago...

Zoom's essential! The detail of all the leaves really pops out. It looks almost like a decoration; and the combo of greens with those tomato reds is stunning. (Reds and greens are opposite on most color wheels: They're natural contrasts.) A closeup that feels like the reds are spelling something out for us; and the green leaves feel like rain made of leaves. Well, willows do that, don't they...Radiant and gentle at the same time...

The wealth of leaves, so densely packed, the contrasting colors and thoughtful composition, combine to make this my favorite of the five. Brilliantly done!
