DAZ Studio > Reality 4.1.1 > Luxrender > Photoshop
Took about 8 hours to render on my laptop using only CPU accelerated.

Thanks! The colors were actually a happy accident.
The image started off as a more conventional blue/green sky, but in playing with the lights I started to get some really nice red tones. Particularly after shining one of the background lights up onto the skydome.
That's when I decided to go with the fire motif and then added in the dragon.
