another of your grand interiors, with a grand piano...you handle these grand spaces very well, Ute, they are never crowded, and yet they always feel intimate. Fine angle back there, in the far corner (another thing you do well, in your pieces).. And beautiful muted light and shadow. The cat is right between two windows (good composition!), and the woman is a symphony of flowing blacks and whites and silvers (in her gown, which is beautifully draped). And she looks like a real piano player---ie, her fingers are poised as a pianist's would be. It's a beautiful silver-gray piano, angled beautifully too. And the windows show a beautiful fall scene outside, with some mists, and lots of leaves left on the trees. And the floor is beautiful, as is the woman's hair. Great detail throughout, and a very relaxed "interior" scene which is 'open' yet intimate. Beautifully done, Ute.
