Description

At the Stocks Inn near Wimborne Dorset. Steak and Ale pie and three veg with spuds. NO garlic, no chips, no grease, and an ale gravy to die for. and sadly NO room for a pudding.. All made on the premises, no pop and ping. I even ate the broccoli, which I don't care for, as it is GOOD FOR YOU, but then I went shopping and let myself down, see Here

Very nice shot, and it does sound very British. A very healthy diet which I must admit I don't adhere to like I should.

Always nice to see food that's healthy, not doused in sugars and fats, etc, and made by the cook him or herself. It looks delicious, even though I'm vegetarian. I love the shot of everything in that deep plate, all crammed together. It's so appealing that way---esp against that stark white. And what in the world is "ale pie"? I gotta look that one up. I mean, it sounds like Beer Soup, or Whiskey Eclairs. (You definitely won't find ale pie in Chicago...) Love the shot. Now I wanna eat a side of beef...You post some damned good looking food shots, and I walk away famished!

This does look tasty. I'll have to look up the recipe for steak and ale pie. And don't be too hard on yourself. Life would be pretty boring if we were perfect. Besides, I don't think anyone is going to put on your headstone "Here lies Andrea Rankin-Ross. A good woman, she didn't eat the chocolate covered biscuits."

It looks scrummy, hate pinged food, especially oven chips. No pud but you made up for it 😀

I've never met any food I didn't like...I'm sure there is some out there in strange and exotic lands... This does look delicious. Had to look up ping food. I found fast food heated in a microwave. Well so much for the Asian noodle bowl I was about to heat up for an afternoon snack:-)

Looks good enough to eat ! !

Never have had ale gravy, the rest oh soooo yummy including the broccoli.

LOL Andrea >

No matter how filling the main course is usually I make room for a sweet desert.

Like you may have to wait- out a small bit of time but will find a way to fill that sweet tooth..

Very much like my Father in that way.

He wasn't much for chocolate bars.

When the sweet desert trays were empty he would butter a couple pieces of bread, spread on some honey and say "Lets

pretend it's pie".
