Description
Seven seconds after my previous upload and the Zebra Longwing has managed to outstretch one wing. Their abdomens are so chubby because they will use that blood to pump up the crinkled wings to their full outstretched beauty. The whole process of Eclosion only took two or three minutes, but they will hang from the chrysalis for 30 minutes to an hour before taking flight for the first time.
Thanks very much for your views and comments.

I wonder if they imprint on whoever is there when they emerge? It may have followed you home!

Such an exciting process! The emergings I see most are the damsels and dragons in my pond, but this butterfly pic is spectacular .
