Description
As November 11th is fast approaching this is my last post - never say never so at least for a while.
This site has become very disappointing to me so I will be joining the ranks of many of our old friends who have already disappeared.
I wish you all well.
Jeff.

too bad you plan on leaving. I will miss your insight into photography and your comments. hopefully you will have a change of heart and stay. things will get better. the gallery posts are very few now, but new people will join and previous members will return.
there has been people that got upset before, but sooner or later they returned. at least leave your gallery up
very sharp capture Jeff

Can't say I blame you, Jeff - this site has really shot themselves in the foot with this "revolution." It continues to claim casualties, and the prospect of the powers-that-be ever coming to their senses is pretty much non-existent. A very sad thing.
I'm sad to see you leave, nevertheless. You can always join the fun over at Fantasy Attic (http://thefantasiesattic.net/attic/index.php) - it's a fun place with lots of great folks (many are refugees of the revolution).
this is a wonderful and very appropriate photo. Be well, my friend.

great image and tribute! I'm very sorry that you're leaving, but I hope that you come back with you beautiful photos once in a while.

I'm not thrilled with the site changes either, Jeff, but there are enough people left whose work I admire & whose feedback I appreciate, that I'm going to stick around for a while. Sorry to see you leave. The thing I like best about this photo is the way his hat fades into the sky, leaving absolutely no boundary between the two. Don't know if this was intentional or not, but I really like the effect...

As George Bush used to say, "If we give up the terrorists win." I've had a suspicion for some time that part of these "improvements" were designed to chase away the non-paying members. You know, the ones who buy the products. They won't chase me away though. I'm ornery that way. I join the others in wishing you well and hope we will see you again. I will miss your wonderful captures of England. Take care of yourself, Jeff.
Cracking shot, BTW.

A wonderful shot; sad to see you go; I told Ronnie when we were talking this evening and he says "thanks for your kind words, and come join us over at Flickr."

I'm so sad to hear this Jeff as your posts always brighten up my day. The site changes seems to have driven away so many long time members to the point where this is starting to become just a store and not a community. With so many gone I get much more interest in my images at DA than here.
I wish you all the best my friend and if you do post elsewhere let me know.

I hate to see you leave, Jeff. I'm still hanging in, working on getting some of the functionality of the site back. It's a slog, but every once in a while something happens, so I'm not ready to chuck it yet. Take good care of yourself, and come visit once in a while!

Oh, Jeff, I'm so sorry to hear this. I have enjoyed your images so much and hate to see that you are leaving. I hope that in time you'll come back. If not, I wish you all the very best. I've been here since 2002, and have seen so many good people stop posting, but this has been my home away from home for so long, that I'll stay for a while and hope for the best.

Ah, now I see what Tara was talking about. I go in waves when it comes to posting...I pretty much died out on Rendo between mid-2014 and mid-2015, but then I caught on again. I like the people here and just don't want to start over again on another site. Will keep you in mind while you are gone and hope to see you back at some future point in time...maybe come back for your 75th birthday nine months from now:-) Be good and see ya when we see ya.

I'm thinking the same thing. Wonderful picture.

A beautiful and symbolic photo Jeff. I have already several times thought about leaving this page, but after more than 11 year, it is difficult to me. Maybe you come back. I wish you a good time and take care of yourself.

Sorry to hear you are leaving..but I understand. I came back from a few weeks of holiday to find all the changes,,pretty disappointing and hard to make work for me. Still not entirely happy but am persevering for a while longer. it's been so good seeing friends' work

Have I missed the bus again - am I the last to know ? here I am, running late as per usual and cannot believe, that you are throwing in the towel - it's not all that bad Jeff, life sometimes gets so busy for me, that I have also neglected you a bit - sorry about that, it wasn't intentional ...just have break for a little while and then come back refreshed, my friend.
Cheers BB
Maybe sometimes we are expecting too much - here is a quote from Vincent van Gogh.
" I long so much to make beautiful things. But beautiful things require effort, and disappointment and perseverance."
