Spectacular shot. The tree works really well in your composition. When I saw this I thought of Homer's 'Odyssey'; "When the child of morning, rosy-fingered Dawn, appeared, we admired the island and wandered all over it." This is the very definition of rosy fingered Dawn.

At Dawn!? I am seriously impressed. The photograph is perfect and Mark has remembered the quote that very nearly got to the front of my brain when I saw the thumb.

!!! This is what morning light looks like??? Seriously??? I didn't know there was light then. I thought the sun was just ... you know ... THERE in the morning!

LOL!

Okay ... I've seen it ... but not often! This is gorgeous. Another mood for Chicago's wardrobe, and it's just lovely.

Beautifully composed, and the light is just wondrous. I never seem to be able to get up early enough for shots like it. It was obviously well worth the effort that you could rise and venture out at dawn.
