Description

Special Notes: Another Teaser. Definition of Apeirogon: Infinite sided object. Nezo stared through the doorway at the infinite space beyond, it seemed that all of creation was just beyond the doorway. He looked back at Atan, still standing on the steps of the ruins. "Aren't you coming," asked Nezo. "My people discovered the Apeirogon long ago, but we are not capable of traveling through it," replied Atan. "This is for you to do." Nezo turned back to the door and took a deep breath to settle himself. Nezo nodded. "I'll find it and free you, Father," whispered Nezo, and stepped through the ancient door.

So ... an infinite number of doorways into an infinite number of times and spaces? Hmmm.

Nezo stands in wonderment as he absorbs the glory of the space firmament. Great colors and silhouetting.

real mythic stuff...the son vows to free the father; and the father, no matter how powerful, is powerless in front of something his people discovered. (A people discovers something huge, but only their descendants can unlock its secrets.) And the young nezo stands at the precipice of perhaps something great. Real archetype stuff. I like the tall doorway (they must have some very tall creatures back there!) and a view into a heavily lit portion of space, with a visible galaxy, large planet (a moon, maybe), lots of saturated reds and yellows and whites, and, at bottom, what appears to be a prism-like walkway. Fine evocation of something massive opening up before Nezo.

I've noticed that many of your human/creature names feel Latin or Greek based---I haven't looked up roots or anything, but they have that feel. But "Nezo" feels definitely not Latin or Greek based. Almost ancient Near Eastern. Don't know if that has any significance, or was just the accident of your love for the musics of names. But it did strike me this morning. I'd be very surprised if you suddenly introduced a character named "Vinnie". (THAT would be a shock!) (Or Frankie Four Eyes. Or the Shiv.) Thanks for explaining "Apeirogon". I assume you have background in one or another science and mathematics...
