Description
I did an image for Bill 'privately'; and between you and me, it was a litttttttttttle over the top. (I haven't done much original art of late, so Bill may need an eye doctor...)
But this was one of the 'rejects'---one of the scenes that didn't make it. But I liked it: I mean, I don't know, I just did. My grandparents would call this vermisched---which means "what a mess!"---but what can I say, it's my kid, and it's full of colors I love, and what better gift can I give Bill than something that says 'radiance' to me, even if it looks like stained glass on a bad hair day...
It's a privilege to know Bill. He's such a kind and caring person, and he brings such positive energy wherever he goes. And whenever he's in my gallery, it's like the sun. Most of you know his art---I recommend it if you don't (bmac62: https://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/?uid=585430): It's like fine wine; it's big and yet so refined: he just gets it all in balance. Everything is aged to perfection. And that's how he feels as a person---I don't mean "aged" (sorry, B!!!! we're gettin' up there, but we're still young!) I mean fine and delicate and perfected like fine wine. Those of you who've met him: Tell me I'm wrong. Marilyn (beachzz) said, "he's just as wonderful in person as you'd expect him to be!" I've not met him, but one day I will...
Bill, I wish you a terrific 75th birthday, and many, many more. It's been a gift to have you in my life, and hope I have you in it for a long time to come. All blessings to you, and light: You deserve them all
Mark

Pure JOY! I love it, it is a psychedelic adventure of the very best sort, no drugs needed!

75?! Why, he's just a kid! Just wait until he gets to my antediluvian age. Anyway, a lavish melange of colors and textures, which Mark is famous for, in this stellar birthday dedication for Bill, who has contributed many a majestic photo to this website.

He is wonderful in person, I can vouch for that. You two will get on like a house afire (even though I've never met you in person, I have a pretty good feel for you as a person, and Bill is really easy on the soul to have around!) This work is a riot of colour and kinetic light, and I love it! If this is the reject I can't imagine what made the cut!

What Andrea said. It looks like Timothy Leary threw up! Just kidding but if this is what you consider a reject I have serious reservations about your artistic judgement. I'm glad you reconsidered. This is a spectacular image and a great birthday gift for Bill.

Honestly, I think this is fitting for Bill's birthday - full of life and energy. He's got a few years on me, but he and Tara both are an inspiration to me.
I first met Bill (in person - we'd already met on RR) several years ago when he was still living in Leavenworth, Ks. I was doing service calls at the fort, and we met for lunch. You know how sometimes when you meet a new person, it just feels like you've known them for years? That's how it is with Bill.
Happy Birthday, Bill! And this is very cool, Mark!

The "reject art" (lol at your description) is grand. The dedi is grand. I like coming to your gallery before other people comment so I get first crack at all the best adjectives. But then I also like coming last so I get to see what everybody else has said. What a treat this is for my birthday! I opened the 30MB gift yesterday and am still marveling at it...WOW... Notice I am saving all my adjectives here for later when I write up my comment on my "private" gift. I may have a BA in English, but still have to get my batteries fully charged to comment properly on such a masterpiece! Thanks a million!

Oooohh! I like the frame-within-a-frame-within-a-frame thing, giving the piece some subtle changes across the face. The lines only appeared after a bit of absorption, and the whole thing sort of shifted. It's marvelous! I haven't looked at what you sent Bill yet, but I'm looking forward to it. (We've been pursuing different activities today off and on, and haven't been at the computer at the same time yet.) This is absolutely magnificent ... one of those that needs to be printed on silk and hung ... it just begs to float in the wind a bit. Beautiful!

When I look at this artwork, I get caught in all whirlwinds of colours, figures that grab and dance around my field of vision. Indeed, it is hyper active, and so it's exactly right for a busy bee like Bill. p.s. You are 'Caught in the act', Mark ;-)
