Description
Many of the trees in our woods are in their 60's/70's. Every year another one crashes to the ground. This old cottonwood is probably close to 100. Every Spring I walk out in the pasture and check to see if she has set buds.
She is still going!
I promised my sister I would post more photos of what she calls my life on the prairie.

splendid photo of some marvelous trees 60- 70 years dosnt seem very old for a tree , when at school we visited The Ashbrittle Yew in Taunton which is said to be over 4000 years old!

there is a cottonwood done the alley from my house that I wish would fall. ever year I fight the stupid leafs blowing into my garage beside covering my driveway. never the less they can be beautiful like this one. the one down the alley is 25 plus years old with a 36" or larger base diameter
