Description

I've been playing around with Iray for the past few days, trying to get the renders not grainy or too bright. Unfortunately, all my attempts failed. This render was done in 3Delight. The Iray I did of the same image took 14 hours and despite using Iray materials, still came out far too bright and very, very grainy. This image in 3Delight took 45 minutes to render and there is no postwork done on this image other than adding the background. If anyone has any tips on how to get Iray renders to come out better, I'd love to hear them! I've got a few Iray light sets that I'd love to use! One thing I can say about your Iray Renders is that if your Graphics Card is not NVIDIA compliant your Iray Renders are not going to look right no mater how much Iray materials you use it going to take a long time and not look correct Go to the DAZ forums for more hints , 14 Hours is way to long to render with Iray the most I ever take is 2 Hrs with a lot of subjects people, props and scenery along with the HDRI dome turned on and that is when I am multitasking and on the web downloading don't wast your time doing any more Iray renders until you solved your Graphic Card Problem and 45 min is too long for an 3delight render with NVIDIA Graphics card. I had all those problems with my first Iray attempts untill I replaced my Graphics card. Hope I helped you and others who are struggling with Iray.

Thank you so much for your help. I was thinking it was the graphics card, as I don't have a NVIDIA card. I will definitely have to invest in one. Again, thanks, I really appreciate your help in this!
