What a nice, neighborly feeling this has. I like the guy in the foreground at right just coming out of the doorway. It gives the image a wonderful immediacy.

There is a really friendly atmosphere in this. I LOVE the hole in the pavement! Here folk make such a fuss about the smallest glitch, and expect it to be mended. Great light, too.

total street photography, I love the pouring-out feeling, as you describe, the way people come out of the 'walls,' so to speak, to green the evening. Another of your descending images too---how you start at the upper lights, and wind down in the thick of the street, with that hole---with andrea, I love that thing. Total street photography with great twilight. Love it.

I saw some of your earliest work here, wow I've missed a lot. One of these days I'll go back there and leave some comments. Lots of fine black and whites too...and you said you were a historian---no surprise to learn that, given what you share here every day. A multi-talented and multi-experienced soul, you are...and here you are capturing a snapshot of the multiple feeling of a great city at twilight. You offer a world here, incl in your comments, and this place is truly richer for it.
