Yves...as Mark (wysiwyg) says, “A superb render of an image from a noire graphic novel.” Ditto! I agree with all the comments above. You’ve painted this exclusively in black and white, and you’ve made a brooding, seductive Marilyn Monro, with black brushstrokes that look like flames, in spots. Your blacks, here, border on abstraction; and yet her reclining body is very vivid. Yes, it’s an image from a noire graphic novel, or a ‘still’ from a great film-noir film. Your ‘display’ image shows Marilyn lying flat; but your zoomed image shows her 'upside down': I don’t know which you intended, but either way you did a beautiful job with this. A big sprawling image, and a fine dedication. And this is hardly a “scrawl,” a "gribouillage"...votre peinture est un chef-d'œuvre sombre...
