Great scene it got me to think about how sometimes the best special effects in movies are achieved by changing the lighting from white/light yellow to red or blue - setting the mood for the scene to come

Excellent presentation

The night couldn't get much darker than this, probably a good night to stay inside and avoid the creatures of the night !

Not sure what you would do a 'sop' sign, appease the drivers ?...whatever, LOL Neat postworkings and Photoshop overdrive !

Well done & ~Cheers~

A wonderful night shot---the street lights going down the road really give it perspective~!!

Maybe its time for bed. For some reason your title brought to mind a comedy bit from an old Stan Freberg album. The voice of an announcer intones, "Night falls on the city" followed by the sound of falling furniture and breaking glass.

Anyway, where was I? Oh yes, this is a fabulous image. Outstanding perspective with the street lights leading the eye right down the street. UNTIL...we see the two lights at top left which sets up a conflict for where to look first. This adds a dynamic touch to what would otherwise be a more static composition.

I LOVE your postwork! Pure joy. I have made a pic doing something similar but rather inferior to this which I may post. A true favourite.

Very impressive postwork to bring out the details and sharpen the lines and edges of shapes. Nicely done, Mark.

I see the similarities between this and Andrea's bus shots immediately! You may fight it out between you whose is better ... I wouldn't presume to choose. They're all wonderful!!!

I really like all the white lights surrounded by coronas of yellow & orange (the two in the front that illuminate the tree branches are particularly appealing & could make a fine abstract all on their own), as well as the yellow-orange street which echoes that effect. And the whole image is a perfect balancing act between those colors & the deep blackness. Outstanding...
