Description

A closer look at a specimen of the unpleasantly named Dog-Sick Slime mould on grass on the green at the end of Glenferness Avenue, Bournemouth. I think it is rather beautiful.

I see about half your images first thing in my morning, and these "dog sick slime" images do not improve my appetite! A beautiful closeup; and, in zoom, really, it's more like a collection of crystals than a slime mold, etc. It also looks like a porridge that someone threw on the grass. Another amazing closeup from you, and the background is dark and sets-off the slime. You take us places many of us haven't been: A world traveler in the ground beneath our feet...
