Cold - minus 10 degrees Celcius (16 Farenheit). Plenty crunchy slush. Easy to slip and fall. Rushing for the bus I passed this "monster" in the dark. Well at the bus stop, the bus was 20 minutes late! I could have gone home and fetched my camera. Well, "monster" was still there, so I got my chance to take its photo. This is the first snowman this season. Unless we have a sudden thaw, it will be around for a while and possibly even have friends! This, and snow ball fights are what I like with snow. The ice, slipping and falling I can be without, not to forget slush up over the tops of one's shoes.
Oh, speaking of slush and wet socks, put on your socks, then put heavy duty freezer bags over your socks, then put on your shoes. Your shoes may fill, but your socks and feet are dry. Also, the bags will help keep your feet warm!
Enjoy!
I'm not messing with any thumb nail attempts this time - I just don't have the time for it!

oooo brrrrr... shiver!! Neat photo! (out here, in "sunny southern California" winter started with 80 degrees F!) good tip about keeping your feet dry and warm though!

I am not looking forward to this at all. We could bypass Winter and everything that goes with it for all I care. Just ignore me. I'm in one of my Bah Humbug moods. Glad you were able to get a shot of the Monster and your baggie trick may come in handy when the grandchildren want to brave the elements this year.

... and this is a tricky monster indeed. When I try to look at your gallery, Rendo tells me that you haven't uploaded anything yet. So I guess this monster is no more than a figment of our over-active imaginations. (You didn't see a thing...)

I know, but I get the same "empty gallery" message when I click on other artist's galleries and not just my own. The best bet is to find an artist's image, then click on his/her name beside the title. That brings up past posts. Strange how Rendo works since the make-over (er, mess-over?)

Well that kind of a spooky snowman if I ever saw one... be careful... you just may see it following you..

We now have thaw where I live, so the poor fellow won't get anywhere (except down the nearby drain).

And he just sits there.....staring at you and contemplating his next move, beware!!!

I still remember the combats we had as childeren in winter. About 30 boys were throwing snowballs at each other, FUN! Your monster, very nice, brings back those memories, thanks man! Salute Gerrit.

the only thing I liked about snow before pollution was snow ice cream. now taking pictures of it is an enjoyment

There is just something strangely spooky about this snowman...... You'd better check your windows to see if he's outside your house waiting for you... You just might need to send the big guy out to stomp him! LOL
Are the thumbs still ^#$%^&^ed up? I thought they had that fixed.... But then this IS Renderosity, after all.. Why do something in one click when you can make it five..

Nobody has called this image COOL? Well, that's just abominable.
Thanks for the tip; I will try using freezer bags in my boots. I've used plastic grocery bags but they just don't hold up.
