Description
On our last day in Prague, we visited the Palace Gardens, which are a complex of six connected terraced gardens laid out on a steep hillside below Prague Castle. They date from the 17th & 18th centuries, but underwent a significant restoration effort in the 1990's. They are full of ornate old structures (statues, columns, gazebos, fountains, trellises, stairways, etc.) & offer great views of Prague over wonderfully crafted tile roofs. Not many flowers in bloom this time of year, but still a beautiful place to visit.
First of quite a few photos from these gardens, as this was one of the most picturesque areas we visited in Prague...
Please zoom.

I realized with this shot that you have a very special feel for rooftop shots. For urban overviews...You've posted a number since you've started posting, and you do them with terrific panache not only for composition, but for line and hue---as Andrea says, "the colours are so rich and warm". The colors jump out at us. And you, thereby, make the melange of rooftops feel visceral, touchable, like they were toys or pieces on a board game. Wonderful music here, and those oranges and yellows are terrific. And your foreground opens up to a garden and stairwell and a big white wall and---a decayed wall (far right) that's to die for. That's a great accent for this shot. So when you say "this was one of the most picturesque areas we visited in Prague..." I add, anything you choose to work-up and share is picturesque in the best sense. I love this shot.
