Description

Yes!!! I got the lantern light as the only light source. I used Iray in Daz studio. BlackTalonArts gave me a lot of good tips and information. You use a point light, I found out that you have to go into the Iray render settings and make sure you turn of the sun and sky lights. The seem to still be on even when you do not have an IBL on. Also make sure on your camera the front light is turned off. Also the render settings for the f/stop and shutter speed have to be adjusted too for great adjustment in the image. It took a few quick renders to adjust the settings in the Iray render settings. Thank you BlackTalonArts for your help!!! And thank you everybody for the comments on my previous artwork!!! Your friend Johnny Damnit I used DM's Kay, her outfit and staff for this image. Programs used Daz Studio PRO, Iray render and Photoshop elements

You did it! wooooot! Very dramatic piece and quite accurate in how the lighting would fall on her from the lantern. I think you achieved exactly what you were looking for. The persistence paid off even if the price was a few headaches and rantings. =P No need to thank me John, for me this is what an artist community is about (or what it should be about) and that's helping one another to become whatever they want to be. Iray is so frustrating sometimes, but getting past that initial hurdle and you are not obviously well on your way.
