Description

Jule-Nissen* who was lost. A play for 1-4 years old children in December. In nordic mytology a "Nisse" (Danish-Swedish, in Norway "Tomte") was a three feet tall figure, looking old with a big beard, a character who existed even before christianity. There is some resemblances with a "brownie" or a "hob" or "pixie" or maybe "wight"* in English. He lived in the house, helpful if respected but if not making troubles. In modern times they often are Santa's helpers and assistants at Christmas times. As you maybe know yule = "jul" gives "jule-nisse". In this story for the youngest, 1-4 years old, Hubert the Nisse is a helper of Father Christmas. I and the cat Felix, who want to learn og know something about Christmas are going to meet Hubert the Nisse. But he is not there, so a big search to find him starts. If we not find him a lot of children wouldn't get Christmas gifts this year. By the help of Rudolph the Reindeer, The Caterpiller Kurt, Albert the Dog - and most of all with the help of the children we try to find him and also ask why he hides. I did some songs for it (cabaret?) and gets help to the arrangement by a muscian I know, Henrik Knudsen (my voice is the only "instrument" I'm a master of. ;o) I can reveal so much that this story has a happy end!. Photo by me and of course you will get some photo shots later. * Link to Nisse and tomte: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tomte Have a nice time. :o) Rhanagaz aka JohnnyC.
