Description
the pic's a bit 'pink', but it came out of the camera that way, so I went with it...
Astor Street's a tightly packed, lush place, with little mansions and lots of gardens. The building, far right? It's one of Frank Lloyd Wright's earliest designs.
Thanks so much for looking at these! Your responses have been marvelous, even when you didn't like something, or wasn't sure what I was 'doing' lol. I'm not sure myself, some days...
Much fuller zoomed.

Yes, you really got colors on this shot, but you know I LUV colors, so I LUV this shot too. No matter there are pink spots in it, it fits perfectly in this shot in my opinion. I love how you got such a warm brown colors on the tree trunks and the clarity is gorgeous in all ways. The trees in the yeard red, green and yellow are so happy. The iron fences are simply so beautiful. They never fail making your shots perfect. Love it.

This shot is bursting with intense, saturated color. Those three trees - red, green & yellow-green - drew my eyes immediately, but the orange building, the purplish fencing, the red car & the yellow & green leaves at the base of the tree in the foreground all surround those trees with bursts of their own color. Brilliant shot, Mark...

What a wonderful palette of colors! This sure looks like an upscale neighborhood with the nice cast iron fences. Beautiful place and beautiful image, Mark.

So lavish and lush in color and ambiance. I sit here wondering where in Southern California I could get a shot like this; no where I can think of at the moment, even around the most opulent areas I've been to. Perhaps in a dark milieu. In any case, cool work, Mark. And Happy Black Friday.

Oh...I'm in love! What a wonderful journey into the red end of the spectrum, washing over the lovely and well-behaved shapes of the neighborhood. Those beautiful black fencing bits are the perfect anchors in all seasons, even though the white pickets are trying to upstage them. Nouveau largesse! The tasteful blacks harumph and settle back in scorn... I adore this!

The closest we come to this in California would be San Francisco and parts north. Such character, such beauty. It must be good for your soul to be able to walk around these neighborhoods.
