Description
I'm not fond of cold winter weather. We are having a miserable wet and nasty weekend. The rain will soon turn to freezing rain tonight and tomorrow. So it's a good weekend for dvd marathons. I even pulled out the gold plated service that my mom brought over from Germany with which to enjoy my favorite black cherry tea. Bird shots may be sparse in the near future.
Thanks very much for your views and comments.

What a beautiful set! The colours are so intense, and your black cherry tea makes it even better. The pot is a most attractive shape.

It's a lovely set. I inherited many sets from my mum when she died. I originally had them packed away, but now I have them pride of place in my house and make sure I use them often!

Marvelous POV, and minimalism at its best, in this pristine shot of the black cherry tea setting, Maria. After the extremely long hot summer we had, and the drought we're experiencing, I love cold weather now more than I ever did. Bring it on!

yes, predictions say that you're in for a colder-than-usual winter, and I sympathize. Esp since your part of the country doesn't have such cold winters. (Freezing rain in november, that's cold.) A very sweet and intimate capture of a beautiful serving set, intimate because of the rich light even though you caught ample space around the pieces. I love your angle too---both from above and in the placemats, etc. And yes, that black cherry tea is beautiful in that cup. As are the teabags next to it. (I assume those are tea bags, and not some form of sugar packets.) Done with your usual panache and care. We're having wind and rain right now, and it's cold...this setting looks very inviting right about now. More caring and sensitive work from you, Maria. Hope it warms up soon...

It's cold here, and clear with it (probably WHY it's so cold) but the birds are flocking to the feeders in huge numbers. They were even trying the frozen water bath, I don't have a way to warm it for them; poor babies, I hope they find water somewhere. The hummers are fiercely defending their feeders, too. I worry for my feathered friends. Stay inside where it's warm, and enjoy your tea in that lovely china!

OH MY, how lovely this is. I really admire the beauty of this. I bet the tea was extra tasty in this invironment :) So you are lefthanded like me? :-)

I like the set very much Maria. Do you know who is the manufacturer? The weather here in Germany is not better. Time to relax and read a book.

we have past the highest recorded rain fall this year in recorded history, but had droughts in the same time frame. figure that out. it has rained here for the third day and more in the forecast tomorrow.

What a delightful way to spend a chilly afternoon! I should love to join you for a cup of that black cherry tea. I can smell it from here. (I got some apricot tea while we were in Kansas, and it's divine.) We can have a cup of black cherry, and then one of apricot, and then maybe another black cherry. We'll sit in your comfortable and lovely home and visit and sip tea and just enjoy the day. :)
It's a beautiful photograph! I'll miss your birds over the winter, but if you've got more of this sort of thing up your sleeve, I'm all over it!
