Redder than red! Incredibly lovely!

yes, redder than red (Denise), and incredibly lovely (Denise again). I love how these leaves almost 'droop'---I realize they're on a trellis, but they feel like they're drooping in sync with each other, like falling in space. Your reds and yellows are full and deep; and your blacks are wonderfully thick, with reddish textures behind. (Rembrandt loved to put reds into his blacks, and he used red underpainting on his canvases before he painted anything on them, so his works would have a red "glow" to them. You have touches of that red here, you gave them voice.) Again, your crop intensifies your image. Beautiful. You do leaves proud, Claude---it's a subject I can barely do with a camera, but you have a real affinity for them. Beautiful image.

Glorious Parthenosissus! I had one on my south facing house wall which got destroyed during some works. Your photo makes me need a new one!
