One of two Christmas cacti in our kitchen window that have started blooming this past week...

lol Andrea, and that cactus is gonna come back to haunt her, like Dickens' ghost of christmas past...almost painterly, very bold sections, and the whites are striking, esp in the flower's center, where it looks like a very bright light behind that center vertical petal. Almost an abstract, made of bold pinks, greens, whites, and big slab-like forms. With a grained dark-orange background on one side, and deep-black on the other. Beautiful closeup work, Claude.

This one is so pretty! I have a red one that started blooming in August for some odd reason. Now it's blooming again. In this wonderful shot it is easy to see why they nicknamed it "lipstick cactus".
