Esthetic capture, Richard !

Gorgeous shot.. Looks like a type of mold to me. But I am so far from knowing these types of things I may as well be on another planet. Altho, if you're in a cold area, like me, it could be just a weird frost formation too.

I don't know what it is and can't answer your question. But it does look quite beautiful in this context! Wonderful photo!

Very nice image well picked out

Cool shot. All depends on the fungus - could just be breaking down the detritus in the soil.

Good eye. Never have seen it before.

Though I've seen a lot of molds, fungi and such, I've never seen anything like this. It's beautiful! Like little ice crystals, or tiny furry creatures. Magical shot, and I have no idea if it's harmful; but it sure adds a jewel-like touch to this garden floor. An exotic beauty of a shot. And the amazing thing is, it could be gone in 2 days---poof. Like it never was there. Glad you caught it when you did!

Oh how pretty they are!! I have never heard of fungus being harmful, but I'm sure there are those more informed than me.

Hi buddy. So awesome to see your pictures again!!! And in my opinion? Anything that looks fuzzy or that could be inhaled should be buried or dug out -- with a mask on. Definitely a cool, unique growth though. But ya' just never know what the hell is gonna' pop up out of the dirt. LOL.
This new gallery is confusing to me. I hope I did this right.

Looks like mycelium. The main body of a mushroom colony.

Interesting little fuzzy things here, but I wouldn't know if they're harmful or not to other plant life. I would assume they're not, as most fungus just helps break down dead organic materials
Either way, it's a cool closeup photo, Richard.
