Description
The Plains of Dust are a broad expanse of land just to the south of Widows Peak. They were created when two great Sorcerers of Unfathomable power battled for two days and three nights over who had the thickest spellbook, in the village of Krell. People from all the nearby villages came to watch the once in a life time Spectacle. But it was pure folly. For on the Third day the mages fought with such fury, that when the dust of war receeded not a single living thing remained including the the mages themselves. Fields and meadows razed by walls of pure force, rivers and streams for Two hundred and Fifty leagues around vaporised by searing heat, but worst of all at the site where villagers and noblemen alike stood to watch the event. A field of charred corpses that to this day still litter the Earth at Krell. This was Elisan SpellSongs' final trial. Before her an endless Plain of Dust and corpses, beyond that, the dark Labyrinth of Widows Peak.

Thanks Ron. I got the green light on her face by being sneaky and putting a radial light inside the staff so that the green reflects out onto her face. Preety cool huh?

As you may already know. The Widows Peak series starts with Widows peak, why not check it out aswell. All Widows Peak Installments will have an attached narrative that provides essential background info about the characters and places that I create. (They also give me extra material to draw upon should I have a brain explosion and inspiration drain).

i agree about showing off that oppressive heat! wow.. i am sweating just looking at it g... and that's great here in michigan looking out the window at damn near 3 feet of snow!... i love the mood... nitpicky detail - her hair looks stiff? or is it my monitor? peering closely into the monitor hmmmm - and... the story is excellent... as always. you've a way with pixels and words!
