Hello! My name is Teri and I've been around for over 69 years in various forms. I am happily married (51 years!), have two daughters and four grandchildren.
I discovered Poser 2 many years ago but didn't do much with it. In 2006 I found a copy of Poser 4 and got interested again. I was working in Poser 10 before I switched to Daz Studio in late 2017. I'm gradually getting the hang of most of it.
When not playing on the computer, I help my husband with his start-up Bio Tech business, refinish furniture, knit, crochet, and read. We grab our grandchildren every chance we get and delight in their antics.
Discovering this community has been a great source of fun and support in trying times.I am amazed at the level of talent I see in both the gallery and the products that are offered. It baffles me how little points on a screen can turn into people or trees and move. I'll always be blond I guess!
Thanks for looking.

Lovely work and worth the wait. I didn't realize these were Dynamic. All the better to be happily surprised with the drape. A wonderful job and a fine render. Excellent work.

Dynamic cloth can be a real pain, but you seem to have it figured out better than most of us. :-)
I dont know what you were using for your lightrays. but this is my go-to process: http://www.redbubble.com/people/annashaw/journal/3941909-the-easiest-way-to-make-rays-of-light-a-photoshop-tutorial-for-beginners

Wonderful dress, great drape!

I like it except for the special effect which doesn't quite look like it belongs. So my selection would be none of the above. But the rest of the image is nicely done. You have been doing some good work with dynamic clothing. Keep it up!

Great job Gran ma !!

Very nice work. As for the cloth sim... If there isn't enough room between the ground and her legs, the cloth would have trouble maintaining the proper distance away from both surfaces (being squished between them) if it was set to collide against both. (just a thought.)

Splendid render ! I go with option 4. :).... 3.5 hours to simulate the cloth ? Wow. Actually I just got Marvelous Designer, it simulates cloths very fast as long as you have a good graphics card. Been playing around with it. The dress looks great so that time spent was totally worth it.

well don't feel bad about not knowing what you're doing in every aspect---I've never done Poser once, and I haven't got a clue how any of this is done, lol. When you say, "it took 3.5 hours to simulate in the Cloth room," all I can think is, you're a tailor and you spent a lot of time finding the right fabric! (I didn't even know Poser had "rooms".) But as far as the image goes, the dress is like liquid silk, it pours to the ground like molasses---which is a compliment, I love how it streams to the ground like that. And you have her reared back and hands and arms up---yes, this could be an alien abduction or an immaculate conception; I'm not to sure about a super nova, because I'd think it'd be a weeeee bit bright, lol, and she might be digging a hole rather than looking up---but for a work of art, why not! Those rays certainly do feel like something religious is happening. And your background wall makes this place feel intimate---with a few beautiful birds, and of course the vines and roses to make it lush. A dramatic picture, and you made the woman genuinely shocked, with a dress and sleeves several women I know would die to own. Really well done.

A most excellent render! Love her pose and the light effects! And also your choices for the possibilities! Many fine kudos, GT!
