You're doing such wonderful variations on your models, lately. And it's a real joy to see how many directions you're going, artistically. This woman's fiery face is engulfed in her hair and shadows---she emerges out of the shadow like a powerful force. And in front of her, you painted deep reds with a few pinks. She seems to be shouting something---she has a mythic feeling, like a heroine from myth or folkore. (She fits your title, "Heroine".) And the whole picture is alive with her shout, her cry. You show almost none of her body---but it's not necessary here: Because her face and expression fill up the whole universe. A very powerful image, Yves, and---unlike many of your paintings, where you use open space so expressively---you've filled ALL the space here: It's cloistered and yet very powerful. Wonderful work, as always. Masterful.
