out of three captures the sun was not my friend. I had to do some serious post work to get this half way presentable

I never realized until I read your description, how much the sun can get in the way of car photography. All that chrome and glass...it must be a major challenge when the sun hits it, not to mention what it does to the surroundings. You captured the sweep of the car, the massive interruption of an open hood with engine inside, and your crop zeroes in on the beautiful beast, with that car behind it being a strong contrasting accent. And all your other elements are there, the lineup of the buildings with the top of the car, your crop, the people in back barely visible, and that dark engine interior as contrast with the bright chrome, sky, etc. Fact is, with all your experience, I don't think you can produce a bad car shot. It's just that some will take more surgery...another fine car shot from you.
