First, Happy Birthday to Jeff, once more! I see he likes this! And he should. He's received some very fine art for his birthday!

Again, you're exploring more and more vistas with your painting. This woman seems to dissolve into energy-lines and flowing-waters. It's as if she rose out of the sea, or perhaps out of a whirlwind. Your lines are freer than they are in some of your more "classical" portraits. You have a very fluid line, and you make the woman's hair and torso flow like agitated waters. Her arms have a deep black intensity. And her face is lost in deep concentration, maybe even pain. Certainly, she's lost in passion. And you "end" the painting with two horizontal lines---as if she were rising out of a pond or a puddle.

You're doing very expressive paintings right now, and they have more 'abstract' elements in them. And your place the woman in the left half of the painting, using your always expressive empty space, once more...

Very powerful, and very expressive, Yves...You have many dimensions as an artist; and I don't know if you will ever exhaust them, because they have many layers and depths in them. This is marvelous. A powerful painting.

Donc si j'ai traduit mes commentaires en Français, il me prendrait un temps très long. Alors pardonnez-moi pour écrire en anglais tout le temps !
