Description
A closer look at the faux bricks that I mentioned in a previous post. As trompe l'oeil goes, it's fairly crude & unconvincing, but it's an interesting effect & one that is a recurrent motif in Cesky-Krumlov...

ditto, Andrea. Most of the trompe l'oeil bricks in Chicago look like this: The paintings are never quite convincing. But there's something very playful about all this effort to fake something, and your photo brings out high contrasts in the real elements---with those window shadows and the shadows under the arches and doorway. A strong abstract with your usual vivid hues. Love the composition too, ala Andrea. More fine facade work from you.
