'Let the coloured lights of hope forever challenge the darkness.' Forgive me, I'm not sure I stated this quote correctly and I don't remember who originally said it anyways. Season's greetings!. First, I want to thank everyone who wished me a Happy Birthday a few days ago. It is terrific to know how many friends I have here at Renderosity. It was most kind of you all. And yes, 'another year older' a wise man once said... 'And so this is Christmas...' And with that comes another of my traditional Christmas Trees In Cyberspace. As I finally laid bare in last year's posting, it is likely that my first big impression of the world (after being born that is) was that of a Christmas tree being lit and decorated by my mother. But not just any Christmas tree: an old school, jewel toned, Noma bulbed spruce. If anyone has seen or remembers them, they are a first class colour explosion. Something that can't be captured with modern mini-lights or LED strings - monochromatic or otherwise. And I see such trees so rarely these days, even in my own home. So now, I always feel compelled to recreate them each year in a virtual sense and remember them with honour - and a little pine scent. And yes, with my birthday passed, I am now into a gift giving groove. And I trust everyone else is starting to feel that way too. Hug someone you love today. And love someone you hate - it really bugs them. Cheers from Canada - we own the North Pole. Postal code: H0H 0H0 Sorry Russia.

A beautiful Christmas image and I hope you have a very happy Christmas too. We have a set of those old Christmas tree lights but they are too delicate to use now worse luck. 😄

This is absolutely gorgeous, and brings back many a memory of the days before plastic Christmas trees. I can almost smell the scent of pine...

And a belated Happy Birthday to you! I've fallen down so badly on birthdays the last couple years (wish I could forget mine...LOL)

May the Christmas season bring you love, light, and happiness! And art.... :-D
