I am based in the UK, having recently graduated in Multimedia (HND)at Manchester College of Art and Technology.
www.redherringcg.comBIOI was born in St Helens UK on the 25th March 1962. I gained an honours degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1984 and worked as a design engineer, for Neil Tools (Sheffield) and then Black & Decker (County Durham), until the end of 2000 when I decided on a career change. I began by using free or cheap software packages such as Amapi, Terragen and Moray and POVray. However, learning 3ds MAX at night school, at St.Helens College, made me realise that I wanted to do this type of work full time and that I needed to return to college to gain a proper education in this field.
I am now officially freelance and I'm prepared to discuss projects. Check out my site as it contains an up-to-date portfolio....if you think I have the skills to take on a project, send me an e-mail and I'll get back as soon as I can.

Good model, light and textures. Very good work.

Looks very nice! The ground seems a bit clean...
JazzyJoe
Is that by chance a Fender Jazz Bass, very nice indeed! It has that depressed feel of a jazz club. Brings out the soul of the music, and the era it was formed.
MikeMartin
Yes, it's a Fender or my attempt at one....thanks for your comments about the atmosphere: it was what I was trying to create.

I would have called this coffee break. I won't nake any other coments because I'm not a art critic. I will say I like it.
Oktavian
Yes a great scene with a good atmosphere but I think it needs some improvements on the texture especial the sax.
MikeMartin
Coffee break is an odd choice since there's booze in the scene. Oktavian, what texture improvements do you suggest?
agades
Nice pic! Do something with sax mat.

rerender the hole thing with max6 if you can. use a little bit of GI to brighten up the black at the top so you can see minor "walleffect. if you do not have max6 send me the file i will squeeze it through instead of writing :-) excellent work
