With this guy, I strangely enough had a same feeling as with the first (and so far, only) Space Marine character (of Games Workshop's Warhammer 40.000) I depicted. Dwarves are a oft depicted race and as such, people have an expectation. Most other races have, at least in my eyes, more leeway. Humans are a prime example; by nature and in most settings, they're quite diverse. Dwarves, less so. Warhammer and Warcraft paint vivid pictures of Dwarves and for a Dwarf to be readily recognized as a Dwarf, he'll have to follow certain 'guidelines'. As with the Space Marine, I struggled to make something I was happy with, but eventually I ended up with this guy; a Dwarven Ranger named Thrund Bolg, 'Fatty' to everyone he meets. Coincidently, like the Space Marine, this guy is largely based on the old Freak figure ;-) Quite happy with this Dwarf; enjoy the show :-)
