Very well done! Spiders have their place in this world and I try to save as many as I can when I come across any that shouldn't be in a certain area. I take them outside and let them go.

Going Black and White on this colorful spider was, I think, a bold move. I think you pulled it off! If you want a macro lens for little $$$, take an older lens with good glass ( say a 28mm prime ) put an extension tube ( one that will fit your camera ) on the FRONT of the lens ( you may have to use black plastic tape to hold it on ) put the extension tube on the camera and shoot manual through the FRONT of the lens. Focus by moving the camera. I have an old German lens set up like this that works great!
