it looks like she's under a walkway between two buildings, or perhaps exiting an old European train station, or walking through an archway in an old European street. Love the setting. As for the woman, a complex pose, and she's turning around as if something happened behind us that caught her ear. Fine angle on her face, with bottom lighting; and fine detail on her dress, esp on the bottom and her lace. I like how the light is mainly behind her (even though she's lit from the front): That open arch is the one big patch of light in the work, and it draws us---and her---through it. Fine work.
