Description
A stand of trees from our walk in Corbett. I'm guessing that they're aspens, though I'm pretty much an ignoramus when it comes to identifying trees, so i could be wrong - feel free to correct me, please & remember to zoom...
One of my recent photos was selected for inclusion in Renderosity Magazine - you can see it (along with my answers to a couple of interview questions) here

Wonderful capture

Could be. I would have guessed white birch. Then I'm no expert either.

Beautiful! I thought birch, but then we don't have aspens here!

Looks like red alder. That's much more common in the PNW, and the bark is mottled like this. Aspen bark is more striated with "eyes," and birch is more uniformly white with little "cuts" of dark. :)

I don't know what they are, but I love this grouping. What a beautiful shot!

Superb capture my friend. Congratulations for your picture being mentioned in Renderosity news. God bless.

yeah, I'm in the "I have no idea" camp, but whatever they are, your shot is amazingly frontal, considering how much depth it has, because of its clarity and its bold hues. Everything in it is dancing and singing, and the black areas help complete the tapestry. Beautiful work with trees, Claude. And very rhythmic.
(I downloaded the link to your interview. I'll read it this weekend. I was interviewed too, but I'm not sure if my words were very good...I found it hard to answer in email for some reason...)
