Description

The night was warm, and the alcohol was pulsing in my blood. A bad mix, under any circumstances. For me, even worse. That's when I found her, the girl, leaning against my door. I was a little muddled, maybe, but not muddled enough to not know my room. "Are you lost, madamoiselle?" I might have slurred a little. She shrugged. "Maybe." I paused, thinking, then looked left and right. The corridor seemed empty enough. No signs of any danger lurking around the corners. Well, no danger except maybe, her. "I need to get inside." Her eyes widened. "Now, that's what I like about you Americans. Always so direct." I blinked, then my cheeks colored. Just a little, mind you. "I meant my room." She smiled, just a little, tracing her neck with one finger. "Oh, now I'm so disappointed." I exhaled aloud. 15 years I survived as an undercover agent by adhering to one thing. If it's too good to be true, it probably is. True, she was somewhat indecently dressed (or decently, depending on the level of alcohol in your blood. Which in my case was not that bad), which provided the extra bonus of leaving less room for her to conceal things. Dangerous things. Guns and knives come to mind rather quickly. But then again, 15 years as an undercover agent I've seen young pretty girls kill which much, much less. Necks snapping between thighs for one. Though looking at her, I thought that's probably one of the better ways to go. I exhaled again. Damn the alcohol! Then I sensed, rather than I saw it, and I made my move.
