It has been way too many years since I have seen the beach. Beautiful colors. This is enough to make me want to find time to plan a trip.
Where did you take this picture?

Oh! Oh! OH! This reminds me of the end of 2001 when Dave is tripping balls...I mean being spacewarped to the builders planet. There's a segment where he's flying over a landscape that looks all trippy like this

Looks like one of those solarised beaches...don't forget your sunscreen !

Digging different effects and textures, especially in the zoom.

full zoom is a must---great textures, as if this were carved into a wall, with lots of little pock-marks and incisions. And I love what you did with the sky---like it's a plaster wall! You've textured and transformed this beach scene into a carving or bas relief, and you've given it a strange 'inverted' feeling, with wonderful mysterious greens and purples. And lots of space above. Another wonderful transformation. Those poor beach shots---they're sittin' around saying, "what did he DO to us!!!" Terrific work, Mike. (And I agree with Madbat about that particular scene from 2001...)

A scene of an alien beach, maybe a Paklet stronghold, minutes before invasion.

Excellent filter work, Mike!

I can see methane seas crashing against the rocky shores somewhere on Triton in this image. A spectacular shot in its own right, and even more engaging with your manipulations, Mike! I love it!
