Description

after the hard rain and wind last night I would suspect the roses are history. many homes were destroyed by tornado's last night, especially in Garland and Rowlett Texas. I went to a closet when the tornadoes were heading my way, but none made it here. I let the dogs into the garage before it hit, then afterwards they did not want to leave

Beautiful photo. We also had a tornado touch down about a mile from here two days ago. Fortunately damage was minimal and the dogs slept through the storm. Tornados in central Indiana in December are unusual.

I too am glad you made it through the storms unscathed. I'm near tornado country, but few if any ever hit the city. And yes, I'd assume that a huge storm of any kind would wipe out roses...Your shot is frontal and beautiful, with a real splash of hues on those petals...it's as if an artist came along and splashed red on these petals, it's almost abstract expressionist. A simple beautiful capture, sweetly cropped, with beautiful bokeh'd leaves right behind...
