Description

This stoneware lamp was one of two I made for customers in another life. The pictures were very hard to scan as they will not come unstuck from the album. I tried photographing them but the coloured ones are on shiny paper, so this is the best I could do, Round the other side is the wicked witch. I saw all the versions. I know you feel I gush a lot, but I'm gonna put my 60 years of art experience behind this: This is a masterful piece of sculpture. And as a lamp too. The figures at the bottom are masterfully done, with great humor and silliness, but also real sculptural presence. I love R's hair falling down into their hands. And her big bulbous face. And the whole concept, and the perfect shade for the lamp. This is masterful. I can't lessen the word: Your sculptures are humorous and bold and really human;, and wonderfully conceived as sculpture---as 3 dimensional, visceral stuff. I adore this...200000000 fav's and likes and stars.
