Description
"You missed my point," she declared hotly to the members, then launched into a tirade of how the world was generally run by fascist dogs that were basically pigs. I wasn't really paying attention, and at the same time I was giving her my full attention. Funny how that worked, but it there it was. It was my first time joining the sophomore discussion circle, and I was enthralled to be in the same group with her. Absently, I reached for the camera and snapped a few photos as she was unloading several tons of data over my friends' heads. I had heard that she was passionate about women's issues, I was just beginning to find out how much.
"Hey," someone snapped their fingers, and I blinked. It was her. I was alone with her; the rest had went to get some food in the next room. I guess they didn't want to feel dumb and hungry at the same time. "Earth to Mars. Come in Mars." She was actually joking. I blinked again, blushing. "Sorry," I mumbled.
"No need to blush," she tossed her hair in a way that made my knees weak. "What's your take on the issue?" she trained her emerald eyes on me, watching. Waiting. I felt like there was a thousand mega watt spotlight shining on me. She nibbled on some biscuits, and the crunchy sound seemed to explode like thunder. And those green eyes watched; she was like a cat ready to pounce. So I cleared my throat and said the best thing I could think of under the circumstances.
"I snapped some photos."
There was some silence as we both contemplated on that statement. Dead silence, except for those crunchy sounds; crunch, crunch.
"You snapped photos." She drew it out slowly, and I was like back in first grade, fiddling with my fingers.
Silence. Crunch, crunch, crunch. She took the camera and looked. The crunching seemed to get louder. CRUNCH, CRUNCH.
"You snapped photos of basically my underwear."
I blinked and stared at the photos, horrified. More silence. CRUNCH, CRUNCH, CRUNCH.
It probably lasted a few moments. Felt like a few hours. Or weeks. Kinda difficult to tell when you're dying.
"Don't forget to send it to me." she said with a wink.
