Description

Andrea was less than an hour behind the three fugitives. She needed to head them off and immobilise them before they reached the destroyed bunker, which could give them sufficient cover to split up. This is a follow-up to my second-to-last image, "Weighing the options". Figure posed in Daz Studio 4.8, scene set up and rendered in Vue Infinite 2015, minimal post work and signature in Photoshop CC. Craig

I really like how she looks in a VUE world. VUE has always been incredible for background mats. Wonderful work on this one.

the light quality is splendid, an almost sheen of haze and mist on that beautiful rock arch. And the water whispers...in a muddy green-yellow. And the inclined rock of the bluff she's standing on is rendered in your usual fine detail and layers and strata. The light---from behind---is intense and obliterating; and it gives this piece an almost apocalyptic air. A late day image (or early morning) with a feeling of revelation around the corner. The woman is done in oranges which help her stand out but also blend (with the rocks behind her). Beautifully done, a wonderful mood in every bit of it. Beautiful.

(Btw Craig: if you get to that Koosie file, a word about the "Bach" influence: I didn't use strings in the manner of Bach's time---ie, historically informed performance. I thought about it, as I have the samples and I know the performance methods...but I didn't think most of my listeners would enjoy that as much as full-bodied modern strings. So I played it with modern, vibrato-laden strings instead. I don't know if that matters to you, but since you're a musician, and I have a feeling a very devoted one, I wanted to say that in case you're aware of historically informed performance practices...I didn't think you were going to 'turn me in', lol, but still. For the sake of accuracy...)
