Wonderful work and effect, very well done!
(To supplement your description - Heliography was the foundation of Daguerres refinement, the first actual photo “View from the Window at Le Gras” (circa 1826) was made by Joseph Niépce using his original process. I personally never agreed with the decision the two processes were that radically different and I feel Niépce deserves the credit. Just my humble opinion. A wonderful render, and amazing work on making this look like a daguerreotype - really well done, Angel!
Several years ago, there were a couple guys in Lexington, Mo. that had a complete daguerreotype setup, including camera, plates, and darkroom in a wagon. They would show up at Civil War reenactments - in period clothing - and shoot photos of the participants then process the plates on-site. It was quite interesting.
