HMS Repulse, HMS Hood, and HMS Campbeltown preparing for maneuvers. I actually set about this render to showcase AliceFromLake's impressive HMS Repulse, a Renown class battle cruiser of the Royal Navy. The Repulse was constructed during the first World War and was, at the time. one of the fastest battle cruisers to take to sea at the time. Its role in the second battle of Heligoland Bight in 1917 was the only action it saw during that conflict, but was rebuilt in the 1920's and again in the 1930's. It sailed with the HMS Hood in an around the world cruise in the 1920's and during the Spanish Civil War was engaged in protection of international shipping. Most famously, the Repulse participated in the hunt for the battleship Bismark in 1941. The Repulse was sunk by the Japanese along with the HMS Price of Wales in December of 1941 while assigned as a deterrent to Japanese encroachment of British colonies in British Malaya. (I put this in aviation ... because. Anyway, the Repulse is engaged in loading the Walrus in the distance, so there is an aircraft in it.)
