Description
This is Major Tom to Ground Control
I'm stepping through the door
And I'm floating in a most peculiar way
And the stars look very different today
~ David Bowie, “Space Oddity”
Rest in peace Ziggy Startdust.
So here's the story. I found an image of David Bowie on a web site that claimed to be public domain. I was informed that the image was in fact copyright and I would need permission to post it. I contacted the copyright holder and asked if I could buy a digital copy. I was told they only sold paper prints even though the image is all over the Internet. Go figure. The image of Bowie as Ziggy Stardust can be found here:

If you like you can make your own picture from both images. Just don't tell anyone.

Super tribute to such a talented person. I love how he acted to the very end, not many of us wil manage a performance death scene.

I didn't know his work the way some did, but I knew of it enough to know how consummate and committed he was, and what a free spirit he had, and his wonderful sense of humor and mastery all wrapped into one. His manner was iconic, and his music had the magic of the time of his origins. You did a magical tribute, suited to his huge nature, and with his inward side showing while the galaxies shine around him...A touching tribute, Mark.

There seem to be as many stars in the Sky, as stars on Earth - just some shine more brightly than others... A very sad moment here and now, to have lost that beautiful soul of an entertainer, but his music lives on and on...
