I explained to her that she's lucky I started her saga when I did; her even earlier pre-adveutures are even more undignified. Though not untoward - nothing truly bad happens to her. It's just her pre-adventures are more misadventures. Though I may get back to her washing ashore after leaping over the side of the ship taking her to the big city after the captain made a play for her at night, and then having to steal some skimpy clothing hanging from a laundry line before heading onward to the imperial captor where she and some fellows she fell in with got captured at a party by the corrupt senator, and sent to the arena. These though are tales she even less prefers to be told than the exploits in the arena. Vivianna much prefers the tales of her more glorious exploits and ventures to be told. Heroic tales. I try to tell her "every TRUE hero and heroine needs a story arc. Including a training montage. Pity, do not admire, the frequent Earth movie sagas where the heroine now knows everything better than anyone with training and the requisite 10,000 hours of experience that makes one a true expert. These hollow heroines are left bereft. They never face a decent, like male heroes - or past heroines such as Inanna, Ishtar, and Anathe. Their arcs are meant to be all-competent you-go-riot-girrrl, but are flat. They tell people they should be able to display skill in anything without struggle and sacrifice." Anyhow, Vivianna didn't disagree but she wondered why *hers* needed such a lewd display. I reminded her of the saga of Inanna's decent to the underworld and that part of her name is inspired by Inanna, and that the decent required giving up all her regalia. I'm not sure Vivianna bought it, but she did stay her sword hand. And didn't hex me. That I know of. _______________ I liked how this turned out, but I'm not sure I'll end up using the cyclorama for a "real" picture, because its shadows are baked on and in the angle I wanted, with the lighting that looked best, the shadows are in a different angle. Which is incongruous and unnatural. By the way I'm finding some of Z's Cheerleader Separates poses are good for semi-exotic swordplay poses. And erotic swordplay poses. Which I'm not sure Vivianna appreciates. She'll just have to live with it for now though: a sword-dancing style is a sword-dancing style after all. If it makes her furious, she can take her aggression out on her future foes!
