Very cool! Reminds me of the "Genesis Planet" in the Star Trek film "Wrath of Kahn". Love the effect can almost see it moving. Maybe you can do a smaller animated version.

It's good, but it's odd looking to me. Like I'm not sure what I'm seeing. If it were a meteor, then there should be a mixture of fire, earth and water in the explosion, plus I would rotate the camera and take a better angle on it. The globe itself is blurry and could use some clarification. It's a nice job, but you could have set the mood better for the picture to pull an "end-of-the-world" feeling. Perhaps go into a photo program and color balance to a warmer yellow or red, warm colors are better for chaotic scenes. Peace man, I'll check out your gallery.
