Description

One of my most beloved painters is Caspar David Friedrich. This picture is a kind of hommage to him - of course in my own style. Thanks a lot to lollypop for his really great modell of the "Eldena-ruins".

Thanks a lot for all your kind comments and ratings - I'm really overwhelmed! While making this picture I thought, my hair will turn gray because I never found a real good placement and lightning. There are at least 5 completely different "Betaversions" on my computer and at the end, I was really insecure to post it anyhow.

You have done Eldena great credit. Helmut's "Eldena Ruin" is awesome and especially so with your glorious textures. I like the gypsies camping in the shadows of the great ruin, not knowing of its past. This just gives me chills. Excellent rating and vote for top twenty.....

Doro ! This one is amazing ! Such great rendering - you could only try to use less ambient light and put some additional lights to simulate ambient light.
