Hi, I'm Andrea, and I'm interested in creatures and plants both wild and tamed, and people of all sorts. I only use a compact digital camera ,as I love being able to get it into a back pocket, and not have to cart heavy kit about. I carry a Panasonic Lumix TZ series, binoculars and a hand lens almost everywhere. Most of my outings are with the dogs so I only use point and shoot.
I am getting the hang of Photoshop, thanks to some very kind folk on RR!
I have a wildlife garden in Bournemouth, Dorset, in the UK, and spend a lot of time there . I retired from teaching art to teenagers a while ago.
I'm now getting some good results with my digi compacts; it took me a while to make the switch from my old film camera, an 1960 ish Pentax Spotmatic, but the mistakes are much cheaper!
I have 4 lodgers, 3 dogs and a parrot who, as at 2017, I have had 40 years.
I has so far had 19 dogs, mostly rescues.

Fabulous ! I too prefer the custard. I am wondering though, what is the small dish on the right ? A sauce? We do not usually use a sauce on lemon pie, but it looks like something wonderful to try.

That is the custard!

Well done!

I love lemony things. Wouldn't have custard or cream not too keen.

I'm with Jocko. I'll have to put this on my shopping list. I have not seen lemon meringue in individual rounds like this but I suppose it helps to keep you from overeating.

You've got a lovely shot of this; did you eat it all?

well you got at least 2 people to go out and buy lemon meringue pie! (When I saw it at first, no one had commented yet, so I didn't know it had that effect. I usually see your uploads with no or few comments, so it's always a treat to come back later and see what people thought.) In full zoom, it's like a Warhol print, with purposeful separation of hues (in print) and his usual additions of lines and squiggles and other things on top of the original. Lots of colonies here, lots of layered shadows and such. And the custard, in zoom, is like a soup. In medium zoom, it's definitely custard, and the pie looks really scrumptious. Man I want some too. Great capture of deliciousness. I haven't had lemon m. pie in ages, and now I want some. Your food shots are tough to take when I'm about ready to go to sleep (which is where I'm going when I finish here). Now I'm famished.
(ok, another old joke: In college we made a custard, but it was too runny and it collapsed. This is for real now, don't hold it against me. You know what we called it? Custard's last stand.) (It took days to come up with that, to show you how piss-poor our sense of humor was.)

Both look yummy !
I like custard, not to fond of lemon anything--- but have found that lemon meringue pie yogurt is very good.
